A Notre Dame Inspired Angel Group

Founded in 2012, the IrishAngels investing group is dedicated to furthering startup growth through early stage investments in which a founder, Board member, or active investor is a student, graduate, parent, or faculty member at the University of Notre Dame. IrishAngels is comprised of over 200 investors with startup or finance backgrounds in a variety of sectors. IrishAngels members are interested in identifying and investing in the most promising early stage ventures and are able to leverage the extensive Notre Dame network to provide value to our portfolio companies.

IrishAngels seeks high potential startups for seed and Series A investments (~$1 million to $3 million). Prospective portfolio companies should have a management team with relevant experience, high growth potential, a completed product or service, and a thoughtfully constructed growth strategy. If your startup fits the IrishAngels investment criteria or has a lead investor identified, please contact us for more information on our investing process.

IrishAngels Ready to Cut Larger Tech Deals after Raising $13M Venture Fund

“We knew when IrishAngels launched that we wanted to raise a fund,” said managing director Gale Bowman. “But our first goal was to figure out what types of opportunities our investors wanted to see. After that, we learned by doing: writing checks, taking board seats and working with co-investors on deals.”

Launched as a network of angel investors in 2012, IrishAngels is now made up of more than 200 individual investors. The group invests between $6 million and $7 million per year in startups raising seed and Series A rounds, with local tech companies like Wise ApplePage Vault and ZipFit among its portfolio companies.
